Psychiatry Residency Research Track Seminar

Overview

This seminar allows the residents to receive: 1) exposure to potential mentors; 2) formal training in topics common to all research residents with an emphasis in translational and interdisciplinary thinking; 3) exposure to the different fields of psychiatric research; 4) weekly contact with program director/associate director and other research residents.

Objectives: 
to conduct responsible and ethical research
utilize skills in improving collaboration, student supervision, and team work
integrate interdisciplinary ideas and approaches and appreciate clinical applications of his/her own research
communicate scientific ideas and results in oral and written form
approach psychiatric research using basic, translational, clinical, and health services science
