Psychiatric Consultation in Primary Care

Overview

The course provides a unique experience in working as a psychiatric consultant in the ambulatory setting. The residents will have the opportunity to evaluate many patients that have never seen a psychiatrist and may have new onset or undiagnosed illnesses or symptoms. The residents will also have the opportunity to interact with other health professionals in consulting, teaching and patient care planning. Offered Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, 8 a.m.-12 p.m., WLA-Healthcare Center. Offered year-round.
