Neurosciences and Psychotherapy

Overview

This course introduces students to basic neurosciences and how a neurobiological perspective gives insights into the mechanisms of different types of psychotherapeutic processes from psychodynamic to cognitive therapy. Spans historical developments up to recent advances. Offered Fall and Spring quarters, Wednesdays, 12:30-1:30 p.m., Harbor- UCLA Medical Center. Prerequisite: consent of instructor.
