Introduction to Psychiatric Assessment and Treatment of Children and Adolescents

Overview

This seminar provides an orientation to first-year child and adolescent psychiatry residents in the psychiatric assessment and treatment of children and adolescents. Topics include interviewing and mental status exam, psychiatric emergencies and crisis intervention, psychological testing, legal issues, and psychotherapeutic and psychopharmacological interventions. Offered during Summer quarter, Harbor-UCLA, Building D6. Prerequisite: consent of instructor.
