Forensic Psychiatry Lunch Seminar
Overview
Monthly lunch seminar aimed at reviewing current literature in forensic psychiatry. Topics vary by month to include a review of legal issues pertaining to the practice of psychiatry and forensic psychiatry as well as special clinical issues with forensic implications. Participants will be provided reading materials in advance of each discussion.
Objectives:
better understand forensic ethics, competency evaluations, correctional mental health, psychopathy and dangerousness risk assessment
application of knowledge to clinical practices
opportunity to practice reviewing and presently current liteature
