Family Resilience Practicum/Field Placement

Overview

Clinical training for graduate students in doctoral or masters level mental health related programs.  Over the course of the year, practicum students learn the core components of trauma-informed practice, research protocols, field assessment and intervention and community outreach.

Objectives: 
identify core components of effective interventions for children and families
build rapport with parents and children
conduct assessments with parents and children
apply strategies to increase resilience across the family
understand basic research protocols and ethics

Consent of instructor(s) and enrollment in graduate level education in mental health field
