ECT Fundamentals

Overview

Students are taught the fundamental principles and techniques of electroconvulsive therapy. This occurs by consulting on potential patients for ECT, assisting in patient treatment and follow-up care, and by directed reading. Offered continuously throughout the year, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 7:30 a.m.-12 noon, Room A7-364 Semel Institute and Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital. Prerequisite: consent of instructor.
