Clinical Pharmacology

Overview

Clinical pharmacology is a broad-based discipline which bridges basic pharmacology and clinical medicine. A working knowledge of clinical pharmacology is an essential element of sound clinical and translational investigation. The application of clinical pharmacology principles to advance in contemporary medicine, e.g., targeting, gene therapy and genomics, will lead to more effective therapies and fewer adverse events. This course will provide an overview of this area. Further training in clinical pharmacology will be provided in UCLA
