Clinical Issues in Psychosis

Overview

Section 1.  Presentation of clinical cases seen in the UCLA Psychosis Clinic is followed by discussion of management of each case as well as recent literature specifically relevant to the diagnosis and treatment of the individual.  Offered throughout the year, Friday, 8:30 - 12:00 p.m., 300 Medical Plaza.  Prerequisite:  consent of instructors:  Marder, Braslow and Luo.  Section 2.  Presentation of clinical cases seen in the UCLA Schizophrenia Clinic is followed by discussion of management of each case and recent literature specifically relevant to the diagnosis and treatment of the individual.  Offered January-June on Wednesdays, 12-1 p.m., 300 Medical Plaza.  Prerequisite:  consent of instructors:  Marder, Braslow and Jalali.  Section 3.  This weekly seminar focuses on topics related to the management of chronic schizophrenia.  An ongoing lecture series will cover diagnostic issues, somatic and psychotherapies, anti-psychotic side effects, and areas of current clinical investigation.  Course offered throughout the year, Wednesdays, 11 a.m., WLA-Healthcare Center.  Prerequisite:  consent of instructors:  Pierre and Saunders.
