Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Diagnosis and Treatment Planning

Overview

Faculty will supervise a new pediatric psychiatric evaluation, case presentation, diagnostic formulation and initial treatment plan by a child & adolescent fellow.  Interview to include all aspects of history (family, medical, social, past psychiatric and present illness), as well as a full mental status examination.

Objectives: 
collect a full psychiatric history from a minor and family member
perform a psychiatric mental status examination on a minor
formulate a psychiatric case
accurately diagnose psychiatric conditions
devise an initial treatment plan in collaboration with external agencies
