Care of Patients with Cognitive Impairment

Overview

This four-hour class is a review of the dementia syndrome and the epidemiology, risk factors, clinical features, course and stages of the most common forms of dementia, dementia and delirium are compared and contrasted and effective behavioral interventions are described for the patient with cognitive deficits. Caregiver issues are highlighted.
