Description: Life-sized wood sculpture, designed to resemble a person in the abstract, reflective material line both the wreath around the sculptures head, and as attached as part of her necklace. Large wood stand balances the sculpture upright. A heart has been fashioned from similar materials with shells forming part of her jewelry.
Describe the style and technique you used to create your art: I was commissioned to participate in a public art performance at the Santa Cruz Lighthouse to bring attention to the history of the Amah Mutsun there, in the past and today. I created one of my sculptures from the Spirit Doll series in life-size for this event.
