AUCD 2015, Wilbert Francis presents on outreach to community colleges for inclusive higher education

Wilbert Francis will be presenting Monday November 16th from 2:00 pm - 3:15 pm at the annual AUCD Conference. His presentation is titled, “Growing Leaders and Driving Change through Training, Technical Assistance and Program Implementation.” This presentation will describe how the center and a Community College District are engaging higher education professionals and community partners to increase academic options and vocational training opportunities. Participants will learn what strategies are being employed to drive change to increase inclusive higher education. This presentation highlights how the Tarjan Center's work has contributed to supporting the leadership development of higher education professionals (i.e. vice presidents, deans, directors, coordinators, counselors and faculty) to expand opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) within California community colleges.
