Arts and Accessibility Grants Program Artist Rachel Ungerer

July 11, 2018

The NADC would like to share some great news about artist Rachel Ungerer. One of her paintings "Married to Rosie" that she created with the Arts & Accessibility Grant is showing this month in San Francisco as part of Spark Arts Bi-Annual Group Show.

Artists tell us that the grant allows artists with disabilities pursue their art and provides more access to engagement in their art form.

Rachel Ungerer noted that after almost 6 years of not being able to paint and losing touch with the art world the Arts & Accessibility Grant has helped her to restart her career as an artist. Thanks to this grant she now has a large portfolio to use when applying for galleries and juried shows. She is very grateful for the opportunities that the NADC and California Arts Council has opened for her with the support of this grant.
