Martin Monti

Martin M Monti is an assistant professor in the Department of Psychology, with a joint appointment in the Department of Neurosurgery.

Research in his lab is centered on two main questions addressing the most fundamental aspects of being human: (1) What is the relationship (if any) between natural language and thought? (2) What neural mechanisms accompany the loss and recovery of consciousness after severe brain injury, leading to conditions such as coma, vegetative and minimally conscious state?
