How does the immune system affect emotion?

This research study will investigate how our mood and behavior changes following injection of lipopolysaccharide (a substance that can cause flu-like symptoms by activating the immune system). Study participants will receive compensation (up to $750) and medical examinations.

You may be eligible to participate in this NIH-funded study conducted at the UCLA Cousins Center for Psychoneuroimmunology if:

-you are a healthy adult between the ages of 25 and 44

-you are biologically female

-you are premenopausal

-you are a non-smoker
