Olivia joined the Laboratory for Molecular Neuroimaging in July 2021 as a research associate after graduating from Duke University with a B.S. in Psychology & Neuroscience and Global Health. Olivia is primarily interested in the neuropsychology of comorbid substance abuse and severe psychiatric illness. Particularly, Olivia is interested in the neural bases of individual differences in self-control, disinhibition, and risk for impulse control disorders. Her undergraduate work was completed at Dr. Edward Levin’s Neurobehavioral Laboratory where she conducted research examining cognitive effects of exposure to environmental neurotoxins in a rodent model. In LMN, she works on studies focusing on mGlu5 glutamate and D2/D3 dopamine receptor functioning in individuals with stimulant use disorder. Olivia hopes to attend graduate school for a PhD in Clinical Psychology.
