Biography:

Dr. London received her Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the University of Maryland and her postdoctoral training at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Before coming to UCLA in 2001, she was the Director of the Brain Imaging Center for the National Institute on Drug Abuse, and held faculty appointments at the University of Maryland and Johns Hopkins Schools of Medicine. She is a pioneer in the application of brain imaging to the study of addiction. Her laboratory uses a combination of imaging modalities, including PET, activation and resting-state fMRI and structural MRI, to explore the links between neurotransmitter signaling and behavioral functions that can influence the course of addiction and recovery.
