Psychiatric Issues as Portrayed in the Cinema

Overview

After viewing a film the psychiatric issues are discussed in detail examining the possible psychiatric diagnosis, psychopathology and interpersonal relationships of the characters portrayed in the film. Dynamic sociological and psychological issues are also addressed. Films range from the classics to those that are currently released that have clinical relevance. Course is offered continuously to all residents, meeting on Wednesdays monthly, 6:00-10:00 p.m., Sepulveda-V.A. Medical Center, Building 10, Room B-100. Prerequisite: consent of instructor.
