Neurology Review for Psychiatry Residents

Overview

This course will review the knowledge of neurology relevant to the practice of psychiatry.  It will include topics needed to prepare for the Psychiatry/Neurology Board examination using textbooks and problem-based interactive studying.  Discussions to include diagnosis, testing, procedures and medication treatments for neurological disorders emphasizing conditions that are frequently occuring in both disciplines. 

Objectives: 
to diagnose a patient with neurological deficits
to identify classic neurological anatomy & symptoms
to become familiar with common neurological disorders
to distinguish psychogenic vs. nonpsychogenic nerological symptoms
