Emily Owens
Clinical Psychology Graduate Student & Clinical Assessment Extern
Emily is a 4th year doctoral student in clinical psychology at UCLA and is a clinical assessor at CAPPS. She received her B.S. in Behavioral Neuroscience from the University of Kansas in 2012. She currently researches the impact of a cognitive training program on various areas of functioning for individuals with a thought disorder. More specifically, she uses EEG to study patterns of neural activation in response to stimuli and whether these activations change after completing cognitive training. Emily is also interested in evidence-based psychotherapy for individuals with psychotic disorders and is currently completing a clinical externship at Harbor UCLA in the Adult Outpatient Psychiatry program.
