Dr. Daniel Geschwind, professor of neurology, psychiatry, and genetics, and director of the Center for Autism Research at the Semel Institute, was featured in an April 3 Examiner.com article about a five-year, $10 million grant from the National Institutes of Health  to expand and continue his current research into the genetic causes of autism spectrum disorders (ASDs). The new research will emphasize further understanding of ASD among African Americans.
