MAPs 1 - Week 2

Track 1: Introductory Meditation. This first meditation begins the class, inviting participants to settle, focus, and arrive. Track 2: Home Practice Check In. Students ask questions and comment on how their practice went during the week. Track 3: STOP Acronym. Diana teaches “STOP” a mindfulness exercise to help be mindful in daily life: Stop, Take a breath, Observe, Proceed Track 4: Listening Meditation. We practice mindful listening to a piece of music. Track 5: Feedback on Listening Meditation: Students report back on their experience with listening meditation. Track 6: Additional feedback on listening meditation Track 7: Walking Meditation, Diana teaches the fundamentals of walking meditation and students try the practice. Track 8: Feedback on walking meditation. Students share their experience. Track 9: Sitting Meditation. Diana teaches a sitting meditation that includes breathing, sound, and body sensations. Track 10: Feedback on Sitting Meditation and Class Wrap Up. Students share their experience from sitting meditation. Diana then explains how to continue with Home Practice for the week, and ends with a final sitting meditation
