UCLA is conducting a MRI research study of normal brain development in healthy infants, toddlers, and children to establish which areas of the brain are typically used while listening, speaking, or paying attention. MRI scanning does not use any radiation, and there are no known biological risks associated with the MRI imaging.
Cognitive assessments (IQ test) will also be administered.
We are looking for boys and girls 1 month to 3 years old and 7 to 9 years old with no history of mental illness or head trauma and no history of mental illness in the immediate family to participate. In the course of your participation in this study, you may be compensated up to $150 for time and travel.
