Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

The UCLA Semel Institute’s Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is one of the nation’s premier institutions for clinical care, research, and training. The strength of the child psychiatry division is reflected in its top-rated Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship Training, Child Psychology Internship, and Child Psychiatry Research Training Programs in addition to its state-of-the-art clinical treatment programs and world-renowned research.

Despite a more competitive funding climate nationally, the Division's research funding has more than doubled over the past 5 years to a total annual funding in excess of $25.6M. The division has also established itself as one of the broadest extramurally funded programs in developing evidence-based approaches for psychotherapeutic treatment for a variety of childhood disorders.
