Daniel Kupper
Daniel A Kupper, PhD is Health Sciences Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry and Lecturer in Psychology at UCLA. He is a senior attending and principal psychotherapist with the UCLA Borderline Personality Disorder Initiative. Dr. Kupper completed his doctorate in clinical psychology at UCLA and then pursued research in “unconscious person perception” as a postdoctoral fellow. His primary research and clinical interests are in personality disorders and psychodynamic theory, treatment, and research. He has received advanced training in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Mentalization-Based Treatment for Borderline Personality Disorder, and maintains a private psychotherapy and consultation practice in West Los Angeles.
