NAMI Walk Los Angeles County
October 11, 2014 10:00 AM
Down Town Los Angeles, California
The National Alliance on Mental Illness of Los Angeles County (NAMI-LA), will be holding their 9th Annual NAMI Walk on October 11th 2014. For over 20 years, NAMI LA County has provided free support groups and education programs to LA residents to promote their mission to provide help and hope to those in need. You should know that money raised in this effort stays in LA County to support the continuation of our many family programs. Funds raised also allow NAMI LA to have a stronger presence in our community and to advocate in greater ways at the local, state and national level on behalf of the millions affected by mental illness. Above all else, we walk to spread awareness. As one of many participating teams, CAPPS wants people to know that mental illnesses affect one in four Americans each year.
Please join CAPPS and Dr. Carrie Bearden's Labratory, amongst hundreds of other committed individuals who want to make an impact and statement on how mental illness is understood by registering to walk, or making a tax-deductable contribution to NAMI LA County. Thank you for your consideration of supporting this worthy cause.
