Welcome to the website of the Psychiatric Clinical Faculty Association at UCLA.
UCLA is a premier training center for clinical psychiatry. The members of PCFA are a major part of that process. We volunteer our specialized knowledge and experience in the myriad ways described on this website. Browse the menus above to see who we are, what we do, and how you can be a part of it. Read and interact with articles and commentary on clinical psychiatry in the pioneering PCFA Journal. Leam how to you can join others in supporting PCFA's mission online.
Our commitment to teaching clinical psychiatry at UCLA is deep and far-reaching. We mentor medical students, supervise resident outpatient treatment, provide experiential psychotherapeutic training, award annual prizes for scholarly papers, and bring world-class psychiatric lecturers to campus. We also refer our own patients to UCLA for collaborative inpatient and emergency care.
We are dedicated to passing on the wisdom of our teachers and our own clinical experience to the next generation of psychiatrists. Our goal is for them to become as skilled at listening, understanding and communicating with patients as they are at prescribing medications and utilizing new technologies. We have created this website to further that goal.
