Los Angeles County Deputy Public Defender Billy Edwards headlined a recent NOFAS press conference highlighting the many facets of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders and the criminal justice system, and how the topic came to be featured this year in a double volume of the Journal of Psychiatry and the Law.

The Winter 2010 volume of the Journal of Psychiatry and Law is a special issue dedicated to Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. The issue also features an article titled Children with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders in the Dependency Court System: Challenges and Recommendations co-authored by Blair Paley, Ph.D. who is the director of the SEEDS Program at UCLA for infants and toddlers with prenatal alcohol exposure.
