Erivan Duarte

Biography: Erivan GD is a brazilian bassist and composer. His music is mainly influenced by jazz and Brazilian music, but guided by intuition and experimentalism. This intuitive experimentalism is linked to major changes in his life. Erivan was born in a rural area and grew up in the outskirts of São Paulo, where he had contact with people from different parts of the country, their culture and life stories. Erivan started as a musician in the punk rock scene in 2001 and gradually moved to jazz, pop and Brazilian music, performing as a professional musician in several artistic projects in Brazil, Mexico and Canada.
