Welcome to the Jane and Terry Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior at UCLA, which is recognized as a world leader in human neuroscience research, education, clinical care and wellness. The Institute has assembled a preeminent roster of almost 400 researchers and faculty across many disciplines who work collaboratively to study psychiatric and neurological disorders, and to develop new and effective treatments that improve lives. Though its close integration with the Department of Psychiatry, the Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital and many other departments within UCLA, the Semel Institute is unraveling the mysteries of complex human behavior.
