Cheryl A. Boyce is a Child Clinical Psychologist in the Division of Pediatric Translational Research and Treatment Development, National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), National Institutes of Health (NIH), Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). She serves as Chief of the Child Abuse and Neglect Program and Associate Director for Pediatric Research Training and Career Development within this division. In this capacity she is the project and scientific officer for numerous research projects and collaborates and consults with Federal agencies, research investigators, those in clinical practice and the Nation's public regarding child abuse and neglect, early childhood, developmental psychopathology, and research training. Her research interests include traumatic stress, health disparities, and assessment of emotional and behavioral problems for young children. Dr. Boyce chairs the NIH Child Abuse and Neglect Working GroupÊ which is a cross agency and multi-site research initiative for child maltreatment. She is also member of the technical working group for the National Survey of Child and Adolescent Well-Being (NASCAW), a national study of children who are at risk of abuse or neglect or are in the child welfare system.
