PEERS Training Seminar for Mental Health Professionals & Educators

We are excited to inform you about a specialized PEERS Training Seminar. The PEERS Training Seminar will be held at the University of California Los Angeles for mental health professionals and educators who are interested in learning and/or implementing the PEERS intervention and research in their clinical practice. PEERS is a parent-assisted social skills training program for middle school and high school adolescents. It has a strong evidence-base for use with teens with autism spectrum disorders, but is also appropriate for teens with ADHD, anxiety, depression, and other socioemotional problems.

To meet the continued demand from mental health professionals and families alike, we are pleased to offer another PEERS Training Seminar at UCLA. The UCLA PEERS Training Seminar will be held from August 3rd - 6th 2010 at the UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior.

Attendees of the UCLA PEERS Training Seminar will benefit from 4 days of intensive didactic instruction and live demonstrations in a small group format, and will have the unique opportunity to observe current UCLA PEERS Program Parent and Teen groups.

REGISTRATION IS NOW AVAILABLE. Please contact us at 310-825-0142 or socialskills@ucla.edu for more information.
