Psychiatric Rehabilitation

Comprehensive overview of innovative treatment methods which have proven effective for the seriously mentally ill. These include psychiatric and functional diagnosis, social skills training, behavioral family management, vocational rehabilitation, recovery from schizophrenia, community support programs and disease management. Participants will obtain knowledge, new attitudes of therapeutic optimism and assessment and treatment skills through demonstrations, exercises, role-playing, audiovisual aids, and fieldtrips. Offered year round, as arranged with instructor.
