Neuroimaging III - fMRI

Overview

This lecture will provide a general introduction to the physics underlying functional imaging technologies and will survey applications of functional imaging in psychiatry.

Objectives: 
Relate basics of imaging technologies
Identify neurobiologicl correlates of major psychiatric disorders
Propose imaging approaches to psychiatric research
Convey an understanding of the applications in psychiatry of functional brain imaging
Understand the limitations of different imaging tools
Learn the major brian systems implicated in psychiatric disorders including anxiety, autism, OCD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia
