Intern Interview Course for Psychiatry

This course will give a brief overview of interview techniques followed by interview demonstrations with psychiatric inpatients and outpatients. Students will identify and utilize summarization, reflection, clarification, and therapeutic silence as they develop a personal style of open-ended and directive questioning. Offered year-round, Fridays, 1 p.m., 8 West, Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. Prerequisite: consent of instructor.
