This course provides instruction in the theory, research, and application of acceptance and commitment therapy to a variety of diagnoses such as chronic pain and psychosis. Students are exposed to Relational Frame Theory as the foundation for ACT and are lead through the theory and structure of the therapy via readings, videotapes and role-play. Course includes one-day intensive training in September and two full days of training in March with additional didactics. Offered continuously throughout the year. Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, D5 conference room. Prerequisite: consent of instructor.
