This course for rotators on inpatient psychiatry consists of weekly supervision followed by a session of group therapy with psychiatric inpatients. Variety of topics are covered to include (but not limited to) a comprehensive review of major side effects and adverse effects associated with psychotropic medications. Course participants will gain experience in providing psychoeducation in a group process through supervised group therapy with inpatients on an acute psychiatric unit. Offered continuously throughout the year, Tuesdays, 10:30 - 11:30 a.m., Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, 8West. Prerequisite: consent of instructor.
