Overview

Section 1. Psychiatric residents evaluate patients who present to the EMC. Supervision is provided by EMC Attending. Offered continuously throughout the year. Prerequisite: on call weekend and night psychiatric resident at Semel Institute and Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital. Section 2. Psychiatric residents evaluate patients who present at PES. Supervision is provided by the Associate Chief of Staff. Offered continuously throughout the year. Prerequisite: On call weekend and night psychiatric resident at WLA-Healthcare Center. Section 3. Evaluation, management and appropriate disposition of children and adolescents presenting to the Medical Center with psychiatric emergencies. Offered continuously throughout the year. Prerequisite: consent of instructor, Dr. Forgery.
