Overview

This four-hour class is a review of the indications for ECT, ECT consultations and assessments, the informed consent process, physiology of the ECT treatment and recovery phases, side-effects, maintenance ECT and nursing interventions in both the treatment and recovery process. Included is a tour of the ECT suite.
