This advanced clinical elective is purposely flexible to meet the needs of individual students and is based out of the outpatient treatment program at Harbor-UCLA. There are core groups, individuals, and medical clinics that students need to attend plus some assigned readings. Course objectives include understanding the prevalence, diagnostic strategy, treatment (both psychosocial and psychopharmacological) and overall mental health treatment strategies for dual diagnosis patients. A three-week elective. Prerequisite: clerkship in neurology and psychiatry
