This lecture and discussion course will provide staff with an opportunity to assess their own perceptions, strengths and weaknesses with psycho-social, spiritual and cultural beliefs while recognizing the impact of these values and attitudes on their interactions with patients and their families. The primary focus will be to educate staff to sensitize themselves to recognize attitudes and beliefs of patients/families that influence behaviors and have an impact on their illness.
