Behavior Therapy Seminar

Overview

This course builds on the principles of cognitive-behavior therapy reviewed in the PGY-III Advanced Therapeutics course 355 The teaching method is purely clinical material. Residents present cases for discussion of CBT strategies, videotapes of actual treatment of cases by faculty are used, and, if appropriate, an actual patient is treated in vivo by faculty under resident observation. Offered October-December of each year. Required for PGY-III psychiatry residents in the UCLA/San Fernando Valley Psychiatry Program.
