Assessment and Treatment of African American Families

Overview

(Same as Afro- American Studies M240) The course aids mental health professionals and trainees in the evaluation and treatment of African American families in terms of their cultural milieu, historical background and economic status. Didactic presentations by instructors and invited guests form the basis for supervised evaluation and case management with an African American child and family. Prerequisite: graduate standing and consent of instructor.
