ADHD Program

Clinic and research program for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADD/ ADHD)

The research focuses on understanding the biology of ADHD and translating this knowledge into improved treatment and prevention. The education focuses on increasing individual, family, and community understanding of the nature of ADHD and how environmental context influences both impairment and well-being. 

 

The UCLA ADHD Clinic offers state-of-the-art services for children, adolescents, and adults with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADD/ ADHD).  The ADHD Clinic is comprised of an interdisciplinary team specializing in the evaluation, treatment, and support of individuals with attention deficits, learning problems, and related behavioral difficulties.

Study raises questions about diagnosis, medical treatment of ADHD

A new UCLA study shows that only about half of children diagnosed with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, or ADHD, exhibit the cognitive defects commonly associated with the condition.
