Study Detail

If you:

  • are very concerned that specific features of your appearance look ugly or unattractive
  • are spending much of your day thinking about your appearance
  • are avoiding mirrors or spending a lot of time looking in the mirror
  • have concerns that cause a lot of distress and/or interfere with your schoolwork or social life

 

YOU MAY HAVE A PSYCHIATRIC CONDITION CALLED BODY DYSMORPHIC DISORDER, AND MAY BE ELIGIBLE TO TAKE PART IN A STUDY THAT IS PROVIDING FREE:

  • Diagnostic Evaluation
  • Brain scans: functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI)
  • EEG

In addition, you will be paid for your participation.
