CART Pilot project for Youth with Autism or Asperger Syndrome

This research study is investigating temperament, emotion and alertness in youth, ages 7-14 years, with autism and Asperger syndrome.

Target audience: 

Youth, ages 7-14 years of age, who have autism or Asperger syndrome.

Involvement: 

Screening (5-10 minutes) by telephone to confirm eligibility. If selected, participation involves 1-2 visits at UCLA for diagnostic interviews and activities assessing brain and nervous system responses. Also need to collect small samples of saliva at home for 3 days.

Benefits: 

Eligible youth will receive $100 for their participation and a FREE of charge diagnostic evaluation of their abilities, cognitive functioning and adaptive skills.
