What does the evaluation involve?

How do I make an appointment?
Before an appointment can be made, the clinic needs a completed history and registration form. These can be downloaded directly from the website. We suggest you read over the other documents, as they contain additional evaluation details. You can also contact the clinic coordinator at (310) 794-4008.
How long is the evaluation?
The evaulation is spread over two half-day appointments, one with the parents and the other with the patient. Please allow four hours on each day.
Who will be doing the evaluation?
You and your child will be working with team members who are specially trained and experienced to work with families and individuals with autism spectrum disorders.
Where is the evaluation?
The evaluation will take place at the Autism Evaluation Clinic, which is part of the Center of Autism Research and Treatment (CART) at UCLA, one of six National Institute of Health Autism Centers of Excellence. The Autism Evaluation Clinic is located in the UCLA 300 Medical Plaza Building.
