Depression Treatment Lacking for Many People

UCLA/Wayne State University research findings that half of Americans suffering from major depression go untreated were covered Jan. 5 by the San Francisco Chronicle and Jan. 4 by the health blog of the Los Angeles Times. The findings were also covered by 30 local TV news affiliates nationwide. The Archives of General Psychiatry published the study, which was co-led by William Vega, professor of family medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.
