Karron Maidment, RN, MFT – Program Coordinator

Ms. Maidment is a registered nurse and a marriage and family therapist. She is a cognitive-behavioral therapist in the UCLA Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder Intensive Treatment Program. She has been a therapist in this program since its inception in 1991.
From 1990 to 2005 Ms. Maidment was also a Research Associate for the UCLA OCD Research Program, working with many eminent physicians in the OCD community. During this time she assisted in research focusing on functional brain imaging and treatment of OCD and related disorders. She is author or co-author on over 30 OCD and OCD spectrum publications. She frequently presents on OCD and related disorders in workshops and symposium across the country. Ms. Maidment has a special interest in compulsive hoarding and frequently consults with various community agencies on the management of this difficult problem. In addition to her current work in the OCD Intensive Treatment Program, Ms. Maidment also treats patients with OCD and other anxiety disorders in private practice.
